I enjoyed the music for the most part. I think that real artists, real talent not make believe talent don't really need all the flash, bang, strobing lights and pyrotechnics. It doesn't in my opinion enhance the song artist or message. People want to see and pay good money to see the artist not the distractions.

I was so disappointed with Beyonce’s performance. I turned it off after seeing that. Such a classy lady disrespecting herself with such a pornographic performance. She could have given an amazing performance where I could say, “She knows how to dance”, “She sings beautifully”, “ Her hair is amazing” and “I love that outfit” instead of being so drastically distracted by her need to look like a slut. What is it with these performers today. I could seen she is beautiful, a good dancer with an amazing voice, body and can move it, without her being half naked. Some of the best artists are reducing themselves to prove something to who?

I thought Beyoncé and JZ's performance was crude but she can sing.

Seriously, there are a lot of great, great singers and performers today. I grew up (as far as music is concerned) in the 50's and 60's but there are a lot of great singers today: Mariah Carey, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Alicia Keyes, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Hudson, Pink, Robin Thicke, John Mayer, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Jennifer Nettles (and a slew of other country singers), Christiana Augilera, Adele, Rihanna, Katey Perry, Mary J. Blige and on and on.

By the way, I'm officially old but these people can sing and for older people to say there are few great singers and entertainers today is because they're never really listened to them.

I watched the grammys and I was bored. Except for a few moments. Loved Pink, she can rock that voice and is so athletic! So, so tired of Bey & J! I miss watching all genre of music being represented: classical, latin, alternative, spoken word, jazz, blues...back when you can see all artists winners. Nowadays it seems like there's more music being played live, and less awards being given.

Hey, I like music of most genre...I grew up listening to rock, pop, classical, jazz, blues, country. But I never really liked rap... was sad to see so many in the music industry to leave us. My husband was sad to hear a jazz great, Don Shirley died. Not many people knew who he was, but those that did, understood his music.

Too many imitators out there these days, not many originals come to mind...I mean, 50 years later and The Beatles are still being spoken about. That was great music, and I never get tired of listening to it.

There was some good performances but overall are you kidding me. Its not about the music it is just used as a platform to point out your political views enough already

Never heard of most of the winners. Are record sales the reason people get the award? I don't have these people in my CD collection. Who are these people?

Have to agree with the crowd. Too much noise and not enough solid talent used in stupid over the top special effects. What happened to a mike and a singer...gone are the good days.
