Broncos' Manning Could Keep Going Even With SB Win

Will Peyton Manning Retire If Broncos Win Super Bowl?

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Peyton Manning might not be ready to call it a career even if he leads the Denver Broncos to a Super Bowl victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

Manning and the AFC champion Broncos arrived in New Jersey on Sunday night for the start of preparations for the big game next week at MetLife Stadium.

The Broncos quarterback, at a news conference aboard the Cornucopia Majesty cruise ship docked outside the team hotel, says he has no plans beyond next Sunday's Super Bowl, but adds that as of now, he "certainly" wants to continue playing.

Manning, trying to become the first starting QB to win Super Bowls with two teams, says he feels better than he thought he would at this point after undergoing two career-threatening neck surgeries two years ago.

Peyton, every game you have played since your injury, you are a winner! Therefore, whenever you choose to leave, you will go out on Top. That being said...How about changing "Omaha" to something different next year? Just a couple ideas... "Ya-Ma-Ha" , " Pa-pa-John"! And, especially, if you win the Super Bowl..."Ha-ha-ha"!

Manning is one of the best to play this game of football.
He takes his lumps when he loses a game and does not whine.

He just comes back better and ready to go again. What a guy!

He should play as long as he feels he can go because he is so talented.
It will be some time before we see another of his ilk.

Win or lose and able to walk away in reasonably good health, seems an easy decision.

Would love to see Peyton win a second Super Bowl with a different team. Seems to be his year for breaking and setting records. Hate to see him beat some of Favre's records but that's what they are there for, breaking. As for continuing to play after this year, all depends on h ow he feels and how much he can actually contribute. Just hope that he has the smarts to quit while on top, a number QB's didn't and just went on to embarrass themselves. Favre, Montana and numerous others throughout history. Better to go out on top, after all, he's already assured a place in the Hall of Fame, what more is there for him to prove? Maybe time to take a job as a coach? Broadcaster? Quite a few choices and I'm guessing he's pretty well set financially for life.

Peyton is a great plus for Denver but if they should however win; I think maybe he should think about retiring. Going out on top is the only way to go, just ask Farve he should have quit while he was ahead.

floatgod, I dont think you have been watching the Broncos Play. Peyton has a clean shirt at the end of the game. No turf, great front line. Its the year of the horse!

He also gets rid of the ball faster than anyone playing this game.
