Birds attack peace doves freed from Pope's window

Pope's Dove Of Peace Attacked By Seagull

VATICAN CITY (AP) - Two white doves that were released by children standing alongside Pope Francis as a peace gesture have been attacked by other birds.

As tens of thousands of people watched in St. Peter's Square on Sunday, a seagull and a large black crow swept down on the doves right after they were set free from an open window of the Apostolic Palace.

One dove lost some feathers as it broke free from the gull. But the crow pecked repeatedly at the other dove.

It was not clear what happened to the doves as they flew off.

While speaking at the window beforehand, Francis had appealed for peace in Ukraine, where anti-government protesters have died.

Are Crows not also God's creatures? You can not understand the light if you've never experienced the darkness.

You can't see the truth if you have no common sense..

i think its a good omen because the doves survived the attack just like we will survive whatever evil attacks us.

True Christians are not surviving in parts of this world. As of yet, the Christians are not being executed by the American government for their faith, but time will tell. The federal government is already attacking Christian proclamation of faith by pastors in our military by denying them their right to end prayers with "in Jesus's name."

Not unless they are doing battle. The writer of this wasn't at the event, and doesn't know birds.

instead of the End of Days symbolism and interpretation, how about this:

If you keep wild animals (doves) domesticated and captive, when you set them free they get attacked by predators. It`s not an omen its just common sense. More over the suspicious part is the timing of the release and these 2 predators lurking in the vicinity of the release.

Only God will decide the time of the Messiah`s arrival, like a 'thief in the night',
Frankly, these people who think they can act out, taunt, and or catalyze God`s will by interpreting and acting out Scriptures and Revelations according to a sequence in the Bible to 'make Him respond' are foolish sinners themselves

Doves are animals. They have nothing to do with war and peace. Just don't be supertitious.
