The best moments from Tina and Amy's Golden Globes monologue

Watch The Best Moments From Tina And Amy's 'Golden Globes' Monologue

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler returned to host the Golden Globes for a second time, and they totally killed it in their opening monologue.

TIME said the ladies absolutely crushed it -- from their dresses to the jokes, it couldn't have been better.

The Hollywood Reporter agreed, loving that the jokes were, for the most part, friendly and not mean-spirited, as was the norm with past host Ricky Gervais.

... Well, they did say that Matt Damon was basically a 'garbage person' in a room full of very famous people, but even that went over well.

In case you missed it, here's the first few lines from the monologue. Check out the video above for even more gems.

TINA: 'Welcome to the 71st annual Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Lee Daniels' 'The Butler' Golden Globe awards.'
AMY: 'Thank you. A very good evening to everyone here in the room, and all the women and gay men watching at home.'
TINA: 'We are so happy to be back. We are hosting the Golden Globes for our second time. Thank you.'
AMY: 'Thank you.'
TINA: 'Because this is Hollywood, so if something kind of works, they'll just keep doing it until everybody hates it.'

I didn't watch, I can't stand Tina and Amy. They aren't funny or talented, actually they are just plain creepy!

What's the difference between a garbage collector and a celebrity? A garbage collector IS relatable to the general hard working public, and (MOST) celebrities WERE relatable BEFORE they were "famous". The irony of this statement Amy Poehler made is that I believe Matt Damon actually IS one of the few celebrities that is down to Earth, and would probably feel honored to be recognized as such. Amy and Tina, next time pick on a celeb of your own caliber. Matt is way out of your league. Matt Damon is married to a woman who was a single mom waitressing in Florida when he met her, they married first and THEN had children (genius!), and they live their lives in private out of the limelight. Matt, we truly admire you. Other than Tina Fey making a surprise comment regarding a supermodel's private area (which, by the way, made absolutely no sense), I found these two women's comedic timing remarkably entertaining. However, next time girls, keep it classy and clean.

I didn't think it was entertaining or funny. When you have to be trashy or foul mouthed to be popular, you are in serious trouble.
