Couple celebrates 66th wedding anniversary for just $15.75

Toni and Joe have been married 66 years and spent their honeymoon night at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel. To celebrate their anniversary, they went back to the same hotel and paid only $15.75, the price of their original room back in 1948. The rate for that same room today starts at $799.

Turns out any couple married at the Waldorf that is celebrating 50 years or more together can take advantage of the same offer as long as they have their original receipt.

Bridal Guide reports that the Waldorf has a little-known policy that allows couples to celebrate for the same price they originally paid. Another couple celebrated 60 years back in 2010 and the hotel honored their $26.72 receipt from 1950.

We wish both couples many more happy, healthy years together. And if you are married at the hotel ... save that receipt!
