Waitress receives $5,000 'tip from Jesus'

Waitress Receives $5,000 Tip from Strangers

A waitress at Acabar in West Hollywood said she felt like she won the lottery on Saturday - and she isn't the only lucky service worker to get a stunning surprise during a shift.

'It was a $5,000 tip,' said the young woman, who goes by Leigh D. 'I was like, 'Oh my God, yes!'' She plans to use the money to help pay for law school applications.

A day later, a bartender at West Hollywood's Pearl also received an amazing tip.

Brian Kennedy received $4,000, and he has big plans for his cash, too. The money will go toward his dental school applications.

Both receipts were stamped with 'Tips for Jesus.'

Wow, That is amazing, people in the name of the lord doing something to help another person. I have read a few comments and it's sad that people can't see the bigger picture. like this person BARRY AND KATHY, who say "So now Jesus is BUYING Votes" What a ridiculous thing to say. And a few other that make themselves seem a bit jealous and naive. We should be congratulating and giving thanks, not saying silly things!!!!!

As you stated......the idea of Jesus "buying" votes is pretty ridiculous. As far as I know, He isn't running for any office.
And the people who use His name in vain, as a cover for their hate, are being exposed daily for the douchebags that they are.

That was an awesome and precious thing for someone to do. These are hard times for folks out of work, I have been there, am there now with the exception of I now work two days a week. Lifts your spirits to hear of things like this. I know it was a wonderful blessing for those two waiters and one of them a student. Wonderful, wonderful thing for someone to do for a stranger with a need. There is good news to report and good people out there with good hearts. Makes you feel good.

This is not luck. With Jesus there is no such thing as luck. This was a gift from someone with Jesus in their heart and soul. It also looks like both people who received these wonderful tips, are going to put them to good use. It is great to passon that what you are plessed with from God.

What's Jesus doing drinking at a bar? After all he can turn water into wine. But can he turn shake into kind?
