De Blasio to be sworn in by Bill Clinton

Clinton Global Initiative
NEW YORK (AP) - Bill de Blasio will be sworn in as mayor of New York City by former President Bill Clinton.

The Democrat will be inaugurated as the 109th mayor of the nation's largest city during a ceremony Wednesday on the City Hall steps.

His transition team announced Saturday that he will be sworn in by the former president. De Blasio worked in Clinton's administration in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Clinton will use a Bible once owned by another former president, Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The de Blasio transition team says former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton also will attend the New Year's Day ceremony.

De Blasio managed her successful 2000 Senate campaign.

De Blasio is succeeding Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is leaving office after three terms.

People will vote for Kankles just because she is a woman. Big mistake. We should vote for people because they can do the job not because of race, gender, looks, or even party affiliation. So many voted for Barry because he is black, actually half black. We ended up with a Liar-in Chief, a giant waster & spender of our tax dollars and a President that ended up not being that smart. He's just a good reader of other peoples words. We have to start voting for character, honesty, integrity, guts and American loyalty. Then maybe we won't get stuck with a sorry example of a President we have now. Kankles doesn't have one single bit of any of the fore mentioned qualities. She's just a woman. A woman would be fine. But it has to be the right woman, just as it should be the right man.

My fellow readers. Mayors are elected all the time. NYC is a Democratic city so it is not unheard of that Mr. De Blasio was elected. Former President Clinton is only doing a formality swearing in as the Mayor-Elect will properly be sworn in by the proper authority a duly sworn judge of the court. After all the Mayor-Elect worked in the Clinton Administration and ran Hilary's campaign for the U.S. Senate. Politics aside, Hilary represented New York in the U.S. Senate so naturally she would be involved in some capacity. Who was Mr. De Blasio's opposition? There wasn't any....so relax the world won't come to an end!

WE fought Communism for decades for very good reasons, Tom. Bu Obama put one in our WH as an adviser until we found out and made a stink. Now NY'ers have voted one to be their Mayor. My Lord, please have mercy on Americans. This crap is just too dangerous. Please do some homework and look into these liars backrounds and instead start voting for honest, integrity and brains and love & loyalty to our country.

proof please. Want to talk communist? How about Rubio, or Cruz. Cruz, his father fought WITH Castro. Cruz says he did not know he had dual citizenship, and he calls himself a lawyer? Way to many sheep in these posts.

What a disgrace for the greatest city in the world. The Clinton's have sucked the joy out of just about everything, and the last time I looked slick Willie was an impeached President.

Sorry but it was Hillary Clinton as the freshman senator from NY who got NYC the security funding after 9/11 that Bush had promised.
