23 celebrity post-baby body transformations

Now and forever, some women will be inspired by such physical transformation while others will resent the misguided message our obsession perpetuates.

But one thing is for sure -- the capabilities of the female body are mind-boggling. And these videos, capturing the speedy slim-downs of a few famous personalities, are hard proof. First up, Jessica Alba and the secret of the 'painful' double corset.

I think the commoners are smarter more athletic and have common sense. something the past 300 years have lacked.

Yes, I do. Because their parents need to teach them that that sort of body requires an insane amount of dedication and perserverance and even then you may not have the genes for it and or even if you did you could easily throw it away quickly by slacking off.

Those women were and are seriously dedicated to continuing their careers which depends on them being fit and trim. If you were in lousy shape to begin with, gained a gob of weight during pregnancy and then sat on the couch as much as possible thereafter, you're probably going to get big and stay that way. If you were very active and fit, got pregnant and worked your ass off to stay fit through it and after the delivery, you might be able to achieve the same thing.

But those women weren't sticking their fingers down their throat to stay skinny. They worked very hard for it. There's a difference and it starts at home with good parenting.

And perhaps if they put as much time and effort into improving their minds and their personalities, they wouldn't be so screwed up in the end.

NOBODY sweats off fat, not one ounce. All you lose from sweating is water.

Celebrity women who have babies and snap back into shape quickly are really making choices. They want a career and they want a child......first two choices. While they are able to afford trainers and special meals, etc......they still have to put in the determination and the effort....third choice.....and keep their eye on future commitments. Chances are they had well conditioned bodies to start with. Women whose livelihoods do not depend on that kind of discipline usually do not attain that kind of recovery. I think photos of them just show that it can be done.....not that it's likely to be done among women in general.

VERY good point.
After the recent storys about the fitness coach who took a selfie 4 days after giving birth and then was slammed by the haters who could never achieve that because they were fat and or out of shape before getting pregnant or swore it was photoshopped and the other one of the women posing looking really fit with her three small children in front of here with the caption, "what's your excuse?" and all the women who were "insulted" buy it because it implied that they were lazy which was probably true...it's good to see a little common sense from you. People that aren't in the biz or make their living by being fit, werne't in good shape before getting pregnant and carrying a baby to term and wouldn't have the motivation to snap back like that.

These people as you pointed out have made a choice to continue their careers in which their bodys must look good so they went to whatever lengths necessary to achieve that goal. If I had a multimillion dollar career going that depended on being fit I'd have to make a choice about staying fit. These women made that choice and it's perfectly fine. Anyone slamming them wasn't cut out for it in the first place or are lazy or were never in anything like good shape to begin with.

oh, please. those celebs have nannies to babysit while they hit their home gyms. And, their careers make it a priority for them. A cook, to make you healthy meals keeps you out of the snacks. I applaud their healthy babies...the real miracle in these stories.,

It's not fair to "normal" women to be put on the same level as these celebrity moms that pop back into shape due to the fact they have an extensive amount of options out there that allows them to basically CHEAT there way into a size 1 again. It's unrealistic for women in general to think these kind of bodies are just going to NATURALLY pop back into place without tons of money to afford the special diets, personal trainers, personal chefs, personal dieticians, surgeries, etc. All that being said, there are SOME exceptions to that rule and that would be GENETICS and a good, simple diet. I have three kids and wear a size 3 and have no visible stretch marks but I can tell you now that it didn't magically happen overnight. It takes weeks for your body to disinflate and get back to how it was before. I eat anything I want, definitely can't afford ANY of the above mentioned options but I'm happy and self-assured.

WHo says women must always be able to wear a bikini. The celebs have the money for trainers and special chefs and surgeries. The rest of us don't.

I wonder why Jessica Alba continues to get publicity when she hasn't done anything professionally in eons? Good PR agent, huh.

The same can be said for Hillary Duff. Her pictures are all over the entertainment mags and websites, and what has she done? *shrug*

She's actually created a multi-line organic baby product company. Realized the need after having her girls.

Yes, heaven forbid a woman should look like a woman once she has given birth, instead of an ingenue.

Wearing a corset is a good thing after having a baby. It helps to tighten the stomach muscles. I had three children and do not suffer from sagging stomach muscles because I did use helpful ways to eliminate the stretched out muscles.
