Yesterday the world was stunned when Beyoncé pulled a fast one on the media and released her fifth studio album-simply entitled Beyoncé-straight to iTunes with no promotion or notice as she continues to tour the world as Mrs. Carter. The album features a cast of her esteemed peers including husband/hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, daughter Blue Ivy, and featured artists Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean, and Pharrell, among others.

Beyoncé was released straight to iTunes in a surprise announcement on 12/13 with featured artists like Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Frank Ocean, Pharrell, and yes, even Blue Ivy.
Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes took to the internet to release their free collaborative mixtape entitled The Abstract and the Dragon. Featuring a few new tracks in addition to some remixes of their past collaborations give fans enough of a taste of new material to hold over until next year at least.

Everyone's favorite Youtube comedian (under the moniker Derrick Comedy), Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino is beginning to carve out spot for himself in music. With his prior albums receiving some flack, Because of the Internet is set to position Glover as a legitimate artist with featured guests including Azealia Banks, Thundercat, Chance the Rapper, and more.
