Marine catches great white on beach

Marine Catches Great White Shark From Beach

Marine and shark fisher Jeff Fangman has reportedly become the first person ever recorded to catch a great white shark while fishing from land in the United States. It took him about 25 minutes while fishing off Camp Pendleton beach in San Diego. The video, taken by Fangman's wife, was shot back in October. Now, the video has made its way onto national news programs. Fangman has been fishing for sharks for years but he's never caught a great white before. He told San Diego's KGTV that it was 'almost mind blowing.'

Even though he was young yet I still would not have wanted to meet him in the ocean while I was skin diving, he looks big enough to take a good size bite off a taste human main course. I am happy that he let it go to give him a chance to grow into a good 30 footer a few years from now. He will remember his first incounter with man for sure. He was probably in shock when he was pulled in and man handled in shallow water. Good luck to the Great White on his next great adventure. He is lucky he didn't end up as a display on someones office wall.

.....ooo-rah !!! for the Marines !!!. It is only fitting that this smaller Great White was reeled in by one of our servicemen. Let's hope the fish does NOT return , when all grown up , to snack on surfers !!!
