Man banned from all Walmarts for life

Man Banned From Walmart's Worldwide Over Price Matching

'Good Morning America' reports an Arizona man is now banned for life from Walmarts worldwide. Joe Cantrell said he was trying to get a price matched at the store, and an associate told him it wasn't allowed. He complained to management and left. When he returned a few days later, Cantrell was handcuffed and charged with threatening, intimidation and disorderly conduct. KTAR reports that a Walmart spokesman said the associate felt threatened.

The man should consider himself lucky.

Avoid the hassle. Avoid Wal Mart. I swore off the place 10 years ago. Wal Mart takes enough subsidy from tax payers. Why give them even more money by shopping there?

Bingo, you are right. Had he been any other pedigree, they wouldn't have touched him with a ten foot pole.

I tried to get them to match price from their own website. They said no, I had to drive home order it online, so I could go back to the store and pick it up from the service department. Really?

I would rather spend more than have to deal with the trash in Walmart any longer. It simply is NOT worth it.

Not a fovorite of mine, but it does serve a need. When I have asked for help, I do it with a smile, and respect. And a thank you. The people working there would rather be on wall street, earning big bucks....but they're not. They are working there because they have to "make it". They get treated poorly by the company (mostly), and by the customers (a lot). Sure, a lot of the stuff is crap, but it's not their fault. Try being nice, and you would be surprised by the reaction.

Even when you are nice to them they are rude back at you. Doesn't help a lot of the time no matter what you do.

Furthermore, a Walmart in Coconut Creek Fl invited school kids to sing in the store on 09/11 . It was prearranged, but then Walmart employees called the police to report a flash mob and made them all leave.

Walmart is running ads here like crazy (FL) saying they will match a grocery store, Publix...with all their buy one/get one free items. We all know they are just blowing smoke...it would be like major dentistry trying to convey all this to some of the Walmart employees without them feeling uneasy.

They do price match, but you have to have a printed ad with the specific item advertised for them to do so.
