The long awaited game update for Battlefield 4 on the PlayStation 4 is here. Since its release on the next generation consoles, Battlefield 4 has experienced a few hiccups, something that DICE General Manager Karl Magnus Troedsson not only acknowledged, but also promised to make up for. From November 28th to December 5th, Battlefield 4 players will receive an entire week of double XP.

While player appreciation is incredible, the new game update promises to fix several of the issues that players have experienced on the PS4. Take a look at our full patch details below.

· Fixed common crashes that could occur when changing weapons or maps

· Reduced the probability of a corrupted save file in the single player campaign

· Fixed a crash occurring when resuming the single player campaign

· Fixed a bug where accessing PlayStation Plus subscription resulted in a connection error

· Improved performance when shooting at destroyed Levolution objects

Battlefield 4 - PS4 Hands On Highlight

The patch weighs in at a solid 607MB and will download automatically when your PS4 connects to the Internet. We had no trouble installing it, and even booted up the game to give it a try. One of the first things we noticed was a major increase in servers and players on the Conquest Large game mode that originally lacked stability.

Battlefield 4 is currently available on five platforms, including PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. If you haven't already done so, check out the Prima Games Battlefield 4 Official Game Guide. Those who purchase the Collector's Edition will receive a free Gold BattlePack and laminated map cards.
