BACK TO SLIDE
A stunning gown worn by the late Diana, Princess of Wales, is up for auction and expected to sell for over $125k. The intricate Emanuel ball gown is described as one of Diana's most romantic and ornate choices.
Says the Kerry Taylor Auction House, "The Princess wore this gown on many occasions - wearing with and without the petticoat, with and without the sleeve panels, often choosing to wear a diamond tiara instead of the headband." Just like our favorite Duchess, Diana knew that a stunning piece simply ought to be worn more than once.
The dress will go up for auction on December 3rd, and is sure to catch many eyes with its "pretty, fairy-tale princess feel to it - with its opulent, shimmering gold panels, jewel-like rhinestones and pearl adornments."
Diana favored the Emanuel brand on many occasions throughout the 1980s, wearing a few choice pieces that are well-remembered today. She wore Emanuel immediately after her engagement announcement, and during her pregnancy. The most widely remembered and adored piece she wore was of course, her wedding gown.
