We promise we're not sweater-obsessed, but when it comes to Nanushka, we just might be...this loop stitch guy is the possibly the cutest, coziest one we've seen all season, and it's pretty much all we want to wear right now.
We met Hungarian designer Sandra Sandor in the NYC showroom where her line, Nanushka, is housed, and instantly fell in love with her bohemian-inspired but completely modern take on contemporary sportswear. From cozy knit sweaters to cool, feminine-meets-edgy jackets, we were totally impressed by how everything was so wearable, but still so chic.
It doesn't hurt that Sandra is pretty awesome herself. She started the line right after graduating from the London College of Fashion, and hasn't looked back since. "I always knew I wanted to do my own thing," she told us. And believe us, we're glad she did.
Sandra's collections are usually inspired by her readings in mythology and mysticism, and her fall/winter 2013 line is no different. Inspired by Sufi mysticism, particularly The Conference of the Birds, Sandra drew inspiration from fire, sunlight, and ancient Arabic architecture.
