That's such a dumb remark and so typical of your ilk. I've been a registered Republican for 35 years and never have been more ashamed and embarrassed by my party as I have been in the past 20 years. Lincoln, Teddy R, Eisenhower and Reagan must be tossing in their graves. Last of the good ones. Now the GOP is nothing but egocentric, self-serving whiny babies with loonies like, Paul Ryan, Todd Akin, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, etc.

I feel the same. As a lifelong conservative I have no idea where these so called conservative values are coming from. But in this mess you have to be honest and realize that this is on both parties not just the ones getting the lions share of the media.
I know of not one sane person GOP or Dem that has views that do not cross party lines on many issues and yet the whole country is about to suffer once again because of the two fanatical ends of the spectrum.
This is the point where the President is supposed to find a bridge not burn them. And the House and Senate need to be willing to concede where its necessary. Like it or not the ACA is about to roll out so stop the grandstanding on both sides and show the citizens that you're working out those ****** and give us some confidence that we're not being sold down the river.
BTW , Obama could have averted a lot of this by making the ACA a short readable bill that anyone could pick up and understand not the 13000 plus pages of drivel. Everyone in the country today should have a clear understanding of what this bill is and isn't. Mostly we're still in the dark. Trust me just doesn't cut it coming from any politician.

Get real. September 30 2013 at 7:25 AM

In most other nations a university education is free, and prison is a last resort reserved for only the most extreme cases.

In most other nations a university education is free...what nations are you talking about buddy and
as your moniker states you need to get real.
There is no free lunch and someone - usually an employed taxpayer ends up footing the bill.

I tried and fail to have by credit card ceilng raised for the first time. Their response was: That they would put them out of business if they were to do that for everyone. Then, why is our government not out of business by now? My credit card company must be lieing to me. Our government is not out of business, then it must only be a myth. The truth must be in that the debt ceiling can be raised a thousand time without a problem.
