Global Citizen Festival

Come see John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Kings of Leon and Stevie Wonder perform Live on AOL.com
THIS SATURDAY, September 28th, 2013. Coverage starts at 4pm here.

For the second straight year, AOL has partnered with the Global Citizens and the Global Poverty Project to live stream the Global Citizen Festival live from Central Park to help bring awareness and help abolish global poverty. AOL is committed to helping build a movement, and applauds creation of partnerships among governments, NGOs and the private sector to find solutions. It will take a village, as they say, to pull communities out of the cycle of extreme poverty.

Check out the awesome trailer for this year's event!

Last year, AOL.com helped live stream this amazing event that featured Foo Fighters, K'naan and Neil Young and Crazy Horse!! Did you miss it?

Check out the 2012 recap!

I don't like this global citizen stuff. Take care of your citizens first. Too many people just keep breeding and crowding resources. Seal the borders to America and don't let anyone or any products in. Shut out foreign investors and allow 90 days to get yours back into American investment or loose it. "Stay out of other countries business, politics, and wars." Use military force only if attacked. Shut down the global internet or contain it solely to America. Return all illegal aliens.

Global????? How about we create jobs for Americans first.
You see commercials all the time on tv and hear on the radio that AMERICAN children are hungry.
This is AMERICA .... since when are our children hungry? They are fed at school free. church and food pantrys.
Create jobs so bad parents can work and pay for their own kids food!

The way our country is right now (and has been), I wish these concerts were for the benefit of our poor, sick and hungry. Why is it that we have to wait for a hurricane or tornado to have benefit concerts? I feel for the world, I really do, BUT charity should begin at home first, then move on to other countries. Just my opinion.

John Mayer is one of the most talented person in the business. Leave his private life alone. He is young, he's just living his life.
