PURCHASE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- (NYS: MA) To capitalize on the changing ways the world discovers and consumes media, MasterCard is evolving its digital storytelling and news sharing platforms to reflect the cashless society. The reimagined newsroom dubbed The Engagement Bureau and the redesigned Cashless Pioneers Blog will make up a MasterCard conversation and publishing ecosystem that helps people engage with the brand, discover amazing and sharable content and immerse them in a discussion around the benefits of digital payments technology in a world that is evolving beyond cash.

With a goal to retrofit traditional media relations for the digital and mobile age, the Engagement Bureau will become a highly interactive community and information exchange for journalists, bloggers and industry observers that want a real time connection with MasterCard Communications professionals and spokespeople from any place and at any time around the world. The Engagement Bureau will feature summaries of current news, increased use of imagery and video and instant access to communications contacts within the company via social, mobile and traditional means.
In addition to the newsroom a new Cashless Pioneers Blog will celebrate individuals, businesses, governments and even MasterCard employees around the world who have embraced electronic payments. It will host views and perspectives on industry topics and MasterCard news as well as sharing of experiences enabled by cashless technology. The blog will be an open invitation for discussion and engagement and will curate content from across the web. Cashless Pioneers, a separate site from the Engagement Bureau, will bring the stories behind cashless transactions to life. It will support MasterCard's broader digital storytelling efforts to make third parties the hero of the value of electronic commerce technology.
