KBR Chief Financial Officer Susan Carter has announced her resignation.

Thursday morning, the Houston-based engineering firm announced that Carter will resign from the company on Sept. 26. She is moving to another company to be its CFO, KBR said. It did not name the company in its press release.

KBR CEO Bill Utt thanked Carter "for her many contributions while at KBR," and said in a statement: " KBR's financial organization is stronger as a result of her leadership. We wish her well in her new endeavors." No replacement has yet been named.
