Wells Fargo Waives Remittance Transfer Fees for Families and Friends Affected by the Philippine Floods

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Wells Fargo & Company (NYS: WFC) is temporarily waiving all remittance transfer fees for ExpressSend® transfers from a linked checking or savings account for customers sending money using the ExpressSend service to friends and family impacted by the floods in the Philippines. The fee waiver is effective August 26, through September 15, 2013.

"Our hearts go out to all those who have been impacted by the floods," said Daniel Ayala, head of Wells Fargo's Global Remittance Services Group. "We're working closely with our remittance network members in the Philippines to help our customers and team members support their families and friends as they begin the recovery process."

The ExpressSend service allows your beneficiary to receive funds at over 6,400 locations in the Philippines, including all offices of BPI, BDO Unibank, M. Lhuillier, Metrobank and Cebuana Lhuillier. Customers can send money by calling the Wells Fargo Phone Bank at 1-800-556-0605, going online at wellsfargo.com, or visiting a Wells Fargo banking store. The first remittance for a service agreement must be completed in person at a store. Wells Fargo has the capability to serve customers in English and Tagalog.

"Wells Fargo is committed to helping the community recover, especially those who were personally impacted by the recent disaster. We look forward to working together with the community to spur the recovery," said Aveek Mukherjee, Global Delivery Head for Wells Fargo Philippines Solutions.
