MeetMe Launches New Native Advertising Capabilities on Android

Continues Mobile Advertising Momentum and Provides Advertisers New Options for Connecting with MeetMe Users

NEW HOPE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MeetMe, Inc. (NYSE MKT: MEET), the public market leader for social discovery, today announced it has released a new version of its Android application. On the heels of last week's launch on the iPhone platform, the release of the new Android version now provides advertisers with additional native advertising units on the MeetMe app on the two leading mobile platform providers, encompassing 32 percent of MeetMe users. Now, advertisers can place native advertising on additional popular sections of the MeetMe app including in Profile and Messages. The new Android version also provides for improved navigation, an updated profile design, and a new benefit for paid subscribers of the company's mobile subscription service, MeetMe+.

Geoff Cook, chief executive officer of MeetMe, stated, "With the launch of our new version on Android, we now extend additional mobile advertising units to the worldwide market leader in mobile market share. This is an essential build, as we believe the mobile advertising market is growing rapidly right now, and we continue to innovate to meet demand from our advertising partners for additional ways to reach MeetMe subscribers. Since first introducing native advertising this spring, we are seeing significant uptake from advertisers, as well as meaningful usage by our subscribers, all of which has translated to substantial mobile advertising traction for MeetMe."

Mr. Cook continued, "Our new Android build, in conjunction with the iPhone build we announced last week, increases our potential native advertising inventory by as much as 3-10X. Just as importantly, we believe early results indicate that our rollout continues to deliver strong user engagement with no deterioration of user experience.

"Over the past 12 months, MeetMe has launched a number of mobile monetization products, including freemium products, a mobile subscription service, and native advertising units. The latest Android build also allows subscribers to the paid MeetMe+ service to choose and modify the design of their mobile profiles."
