Jarden Beats Analyst Estimates on EPS

EPS came in at $0.88. The nine earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.87 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.88 for Q2 were 16% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.76 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.71 for Q2 were 1.4% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.72 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 29.2%, 40 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 10.3%, 20 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 4.3%, 70 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.78 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.07.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $7.03 billion. The average EPS estimate is $3.27.
