Avnet Electronics Marketing Celebrates One Year of ZedBoard

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Happy anniversary, ZedBoard! The ZedBoard, from Avnet Electronics Marketing, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), has turned a year old. Since its original release, the popular community-oriented development kit for the Xilinx, Inc. Zynq®-7000 All Programmable (AP) SoC has hit numerous milestones. Download the infographic here.

"Over the past year, we've enabled thousands of customers to jumpstart their Zynq-7000 AP SoC-based applications with ZedBoard," said Jim Beneke, vice president of global technical marketing for Avnet Electronics Marketing. "The design community has embraced ZedBoard and ZedBoard.org as go-to solutions for Zynq-based development, and we look forward to continuing the momentum."

Since its launch, Avnet has sold more than 3,000 ZedBoard kits. Avnet has trained 2,400 customers globally in SpeedWay seminars and another 3,000 through the online course. The ZedBoard.org website has received more than 250,000 visits, supported 50,000 downloads, has more than 3,000 postings from customers and engineers in its questions forum, and has a strong following of more than 1,400 visitors per day. Currently, there are three members of the Avnet team dedicated to answering questions related to ZedBoard design.
