Noble Beats Up on Analysts Yet Again

EPS came in at $0.63. The 34 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.55 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.63 for Q2 were 6.8% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.59 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.69 for Q2 were 9.5% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.63 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 48.5%, 140 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 25.0%, 140 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 17.4%, 100 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.07 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.65.
