SunCoke Energy Named One of Chicago's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For Again in 2013

LISLE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SunCoke Energy, Inc. (NYS: SXC) announced today that for the second consecutive year it has been recognized by Chicago's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For™ by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR).

"We are proud to be recognized for the second consecutive year," said Gary Yeaw, SunCoke Energy's Vice President of Human Resources. "It is an affirmation from Chicago's NABR chapter and from our employees that SunCoke is on the right path to creating a strong and collaborative culture. Since becoming an independent company and going public two years ago, we are in the early stages of our company's development. This recognition encourages us to keep striving to nurture a work environment in which our employees can do their best work and achieve solid business results while maintaining satisfying balance in their lives."

The NABR manages the 101 Best and Brightest competition annually in cities across the country to distinguish and honor institutions that exhibit outstanding human resources programs and a robust pledge to employee enrichment.

Winners are selected from among hundreds of vying companies whose applications are reviewed and scored by an independent research firm. Participating organizations are judged across an array of categories, including Communication; Employee Education and Development; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention, among others.

An awards symposium and luncheon for honorees will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013, at the Double Tree Hotel in Oak Brook, Illinois. The event provides an opportunity for selected businesses to showcase their company's employee and human resources best practices, participate in a series of interactive educational programs, and network among peers.
