DIY Designer: Recreate Alexander Wang's Glow In the Dark Bag!
To create your own glow-in-the-dark bag, you’ll need an old purses or a clutch like this black flat envelope bag, scissors, and a roll of glow-in-the-dark duct tape.
Get creative with your glow-in-the-dark design. With this clutch, we’re going to create an envelope pattern. To start, rip off a piece of tape that’s as long as the bag’s widest edge, then tear it into four ½-inch strips. If you don’t feel like ripping, you can always use scissors.
On the back of the clutch, outline edges with the ½-inch strips. Overlap and snip or tear off the excess tape.
To create the faux envelope flap, tear off another piece of tape that goes about halfway across the diagonal angle of your bag. Split off two ½-inch strips and form a “V” connected at the top two corners.
- With all that extra blank space, and a few leftover tape scraps, why not personalize your bag with your initial?
- Your nightlife just got brighter in only a few minutes with this fun and easy DIY project.
