Microsoft's Buying Some Blue Horseshoe Technology
Today, Microsoft acquired Blue Horseshoe's Warehousing for AX and Transportation for AX solutions. According to a Blue Horseshoe press release, the technology will be used in collaboration with Microsoft's Dynamics AX to provide "industry-specific functionality" to manufacturing, distribution, and retail industries that use the software.
Blue Horseshoe said its software improves operations such as inventory control; embedded radio frequency; inbound and outbound warehouse operations; rate, route, and load planning; and freight reconciliation.
Microsoft had awarded Blue Horseshoe in the past as a Microsoft Dynamics Distribution Industry Partner of the Year and a Microsoft President's Club Member.
