Location Based Technologies and EE Sign a SIM Purchase Agreement

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Location Based Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:LBAS), a leading service provider of personal tracking GPS devices, and EE, Ltd., the U.K.'s most advanced communications company, have entered into a purchase agreement which will allow LBT to embed EE SIM technology into LBT's world's best GPS products for immediate purchase throughout Europe and in additional areas around the world.

EE's relationship with LBT continues to grow. The companies began their relationship earlier this year when EE launched PocketFinder Personal GPS Locators in their London flagship stores (https://explore.ee.co.uk/pocket-finder). With this latest agreement, LBT now has the capability to sell devices into Europe using a local SIM, thereby greatly reducing the monthly service fee charged to customers.

"The ability to execute agreements with local SIM providers enables us to expand around the globe offering reasonable service rates," said Dave Morse, CEO of Location Based Technologies. "EE is the first non-US based carrier to execute an agreement of this kind with LBT and we are excited to further our relationship with EE and to gain new consumer and commercial customers."

The recent order placed by UK retailer Teecake Services Ltd. will be the first shipment of PocketFinder devices to incorporate EE SIMs.
