Alan L. Friel Joins Virtual Piggy Board of Advisors

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Virtual Piggy, Inc. (OTCBB: VPIG), an innovator in safe youth payments, today announced that Alan L. Friel has joined the company's Board of Advisors. Mr. Friel is a Partner at Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP, where he Chairs the Media and Technology practice, Co-Chairs the Technology, Media and Telcom Industry Group and is on the steering committees of both the Intellectual Property Department and the Privacy and Data Protection Department. Mr. Friel is well regarded for his expertise on Children's Privacy issues represents advertisers, online service providers, app publishers and ad networks and agencies on these matters. He has authored 40+ related publications, and is a frequently sought after speaker for issues regarding COPPA, CARU, and other children's safety issues. Edwards Wildman serves as outside legal counsel to Virtual Piggy on COPPA and other issues.
