Avnet is recognized for its leadership and supply chain expertise in a service field replacement unit project

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced that the company has been named to the 2013 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100for its leadership and expertise in post-sales supply chain management. The Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 list recognizes organizations' leadership, as solution and service providers, in assisting the supply chain function and supply chain executives move toward supply chain excellence. More than 200 projects were submitted for the 2013 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100. Avnet's winning project addressed the service field replacement unit needs of a global customer. The project was managed by Wade McDaniel, vice president of solutions development at Avnet, and his team.
