Konecranes Selects E2open for Global Supply Chain Collaboration

Leading Industrial Manufacturer Drives Customer Value on the E2open Business Network

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- E2open (NASDAQ: EOPN), a leading provider of strategic, cloud-based solutions for collaborative execution across global trading networks, today announced that the company has been selected by Konecranes, a world-leading group of Lifting Businesses™, as its collaborative execution platform, and that the program has gone live with Konecranes' supply base. The E2open Business Network provides Konecranes and its suppliers with a cloud-based multi-enterprise platform for automated information exchange, collaborative order and inventory management, and real-time insight into supplier commitments and issue resolutions.

"One of our strategic cornerstones for a global demand-driven supply chain is real-time communication between us and our suppliers," said Pekka Lettijeff, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Konecranes. "Having better visibility enables early identification of any issues that could potentially impact our customer promise dates. The E2open Business Network enables us to work collaboratively with our suppliers to improve supply assurance, shorten lead times, reduce inventory levels, and most importantly, meet the high expectations of our customers."

The E2open Business Network provides Konecranes and its suppliers with a single, real-time view of inventory and operations, enabling improved responsiveness and risk management and helping to reduce latencies and miscommunications. Konecranes is also able to perform collaborative order and inventory management to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and reliably, while minimizing costs and maximizing revenues. Pre-configured workflows and customizable analytics and reports support decision making and execution.

"We recognized that having a collaborative supply chain process would significantly improve our overall supply chain performance and move us closer to our ultimate goal of implementing a supply chain control tower," said Nina Anttila, Head of Supply Chain Development at Konecranes. "We have already onboarded over a fifth of our major suppliers in less than two months, which is ahead of our plan. The response from our suppliers has been very positive using collaborative processes."

"Managing a global supply chain that is characterized by extended product development lead times and diverse products across multiple lines of business can be a daunting prospect," said Bob Godfrey, Vice President EMEA at E2open. "The Konecranes supply chain team is creating a new standard of thought leadership in the industrial sector."

More than 35,000 trading partners, with over 108,000 unique registered users, currently participate in the E2open Business Network, which allows participants to access and share data and execute business processes in a secure, real-time manner. The E2open Business Network also provides collaboration tools and analytics so that E2open customers can make more informed and efficient decisions.
