RLI Announces Leadership Promotions
PEORIA, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- RLI Corp. (NYS: RLI) - RLI Corp. has announced promotions within its operations and underwriting team that will position the company for continued success. The following changes are effective immediately.
Craig Kliethermes Promoted to Executive Vice President, Operations
Craig Kliethermes, Senior Vice President, Risk Services, has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Operations. In this expanded role, Kliethermes will assume management responsibility for RLI's specialty admitted and reinsurance businesses including the Marine, Transportation and Executive Products Groups, in addition to his current responsibilities overseeing the Professional Services Group, Reinsurance Group and Risk Services Department.
Kliethermes joined RLI in 2006 and has taken on increasing levels of operations and underwriting responsibility throughout his tenure. Kliethermes has more than 28 years of experience in the insurance industry and has extensive expertise in actuarial management, catastrophe management, reinsurance and product management.
Paul Simoneau Promoted to Senior Vice President, Excess & Surplus Lines
Paul Simoneau, Vice President, Casualty, has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Excess & Surplus (E&S) Lines. Simoneau will continue leading the RLI Casualty Group, but will also assume responsibility for the E&S Property and Specialty Programs Groups.
Simoneau joined RLI in 1987 and has led RLI's Casualty Brokerage business since 2006. Simoneau has more than 35 years of underwriting experience.
Roy Die Promoted to Senior Vice President, Surety
Roy Die, Vice President, Surety, has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Surety. Die will continue leading the Commercial, Contract, Oil & Gas and Miscellaneous Surety Groups.
Die joined RLI in 1999 and has more than 25 years of underwriting experience.
John Stenhouse Promoted to Vice President, Excess & Surplus Property
John Stenhouse, Assistant Vice President, E&S Property, has been promoted to Vice President, E&S Property and will report to Paul Simoneau. Stenhouse will assume management responsibility for the RLI E&S Property Group following the retirement of Jeff Wefer, Senior Vice President, E&S Property.
Stenhouse joined RLI in 2000 and previously served as Manager, Southeast E&S Property. He has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and extensive expertise in all lines of underwriting, regional underwriting management and facultative reinsurance.
