The Weirdest Trends From the Spring Bridal Shows

If you're not interested in showing skin at your wedding, there were plenty of options at the bridal show for covering up in new and trendy ways. From fur wraps, to flowing capes, to an umbrella worn as a veil (literally!, it's hard to pick just one.

Every girl dreams of a white wedding dress, right? If not, you're in luck this season. Designers were sending all sorts of non-traditional colors down the rainbow, from pastel blues and pinks to dark and gothic black (yes, black!).

A long glove with an evening gown can look quite elegant, and apparently Vera Wang thinks so too. The designer sent black gloves down the runway with almost every look this season. Black gloves with a white dress? We're not sure about you, but we're going to have to mull this one over.

There were some majorly short hemlines on the runways this year, and we won't be surprised if this trend actually catches on. After all, with more and more couples planning outdoor nuptials, a short dress might be the perfect fit for a summer ceremony!

With the spring bridal shows underway in Barcelona, we can't help but notice that some of this year's runway trends have been a little more than avant-garde.

We're all for trend-setting, but when it comes to the wedding department, it's hard to pass up the notion of a traditional, long white dress. It seems that designers have thrown that idea out the window this season, because we've seen everything from black gowns, to capes, to pants (yes, pants!) worn under dresses.

Click through the gallery to see the weirdest and wackiest trends from the spring bridal shows. Try not to be alarmed by the umbrella used as a veil (we can't make this stuff up!).
