Duncan Hines Launches Online Virtual Bake Sale Benefiting No Kid Hungry and Commits to Match $30,000 in Donations Made On Facebook Page

In its third year of sponsoring Share Our Strength's Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry™, Duncan Hines asks its fans to join them in the fight against childhood hunger in America

PARSIPPANY, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Duncan Hines®, a portfolio brand of Pinnacle Foods Inc, today announces it is launching a Virtual Bake Sale on their Facebook page, urging their fans and followers to donate to Share Our Strength's Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry™, a cause that Duncan Hines is supporting for the third year. Duncan Hines has committed to match every donation made by a Duncan Hines fan through the widget up to $30,000, until October 31st, making the donations go twice as far towards the cause of ending childhood hunger in America.


Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry is a national effort that encourages volunteers to host bake sales in their communities to support the No Kid Hungry® campaign, which is working to end childhood hunger in America by helping kids get the healthy food they need, every day. Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry proceeds are granted to organizations in communities across the country to help connect at-risk children with nutritious food through school and summer meals programs, and to teach families how to make healthy, low-cost meals through the No Kid Hungry campaign's Cooking Matters® program. As a flagship sponsor, Duncan Hines' initiatives in supporting the Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry leverage the baking equity of the Duncan Hines® brand with a desire to eliminate childhood hunger in America.

To supplement the efforts of their virtual bake sale, Duncan Hines is joining forces with celebrity chef Sandra Lee in sponsoring the World's Largest Bake Sale in Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall today, May 1st, from 10am-7pm to raise funds for the No Kid Hungry campaign. Duncan Hines is offering sponsor support to the event by donating an additional $25,000 to the No Kid Hungry campaign's efforts.
