BACK TO SLIDE
For most of Barbra Streisand's life, she's been known for her ability to captivate the stage. When she first became a nightclub singer in the early 1960's few could predict that the teenage girl from Brooklyn would become such a star. The only person who knew she was destined for greatness: was Barbra herself.
Barbra has performed on stage, in front of a camera, with chart-topping singers, and in front of foreign dignitaries. With all this success comes an added pressure to really stand out. For Barbra, this isn't a problem. From arriving in a oversized mink coat to appearing at the Grammy's in a full-body sequin dress, Barbra's style is all her own. Now, as she turns 71-years-old today, she has ushered in a more casual era. Barbra is typically seen in over-sized caftans and scarves in comparison to her over-the-top 60's looks.
