ManTech Awarded $96 Million to Provide Information and Enforcement Training Services for U.S. Customs and Border Protection

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has awarded ManTech International Corporation (NAS: MANT) a single-award blanket purchase agreement (BPA) under its GSA Schedule contract to provide information and enforcement training services to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) organization. The award has a potential value of $96 million, with a 1-year base period and four additional option years.

Under the BPA, ManTech will provide comprehensive training services for information technology systems, wireless and voice communications equipment, and enforcement technology to all CBP personnel as well as other federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. The training will include instruction on the operation of a variety of non-intrusive inspection (NII) equipment deployed nationally and internationally, including large and small scale products, radiation equipment, and handheld NII equipment.

"The CBP is the largest law enforcement organization in the nation; entrusted with the comprehensive operation, maintenance, and security of our borders," said Daniel J. Keefe, president and chief operating officer of ManTech's Technical Services Group. "Effective training on the information systems and equipment used to conduct the CBP's mission is crucial, and ManTech is proud to be selected to support this important effort."
