Every girl loves to switch it up now and then, and what better way to do so than with your hair color? You can head to your local salon to have it done or to your local drugstore and do it yourself - whatever your prerogative, we've got you covered with tips and tricks on the most popular colors.

Before you dye your hair any shade, be sure to deep condition. Not only is it a helpful process to keep your hair shiny, soft, and healthy, but it will hold color better and have stronger protection against harsh chemicals.

It is recommended that you only go two shades either up or down from your natural hue, but of course that doesn't mean you can't make a more drastic change.

Be sure to do your homework before you dye - whether it's to test out semi-permanent colors, or head to your salon - and just remember that any color change can be fixed or re-done. Have fun with it, and embrace the new you!

Fun fact: If your scalp is sensitive, try adding two packets of Sweet'n Low to your formula before applying - it helps to soothe your skin!
