Digital Insurance Acquires Capital Benefits Group

Capital Benefits Group Becomes Part of Digital Benefit Advisors' Network, Opening First Tennessee Office to Enhance Employee Benefits Client Services

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Digital Insurance (www.digitalinsurance.com), the nation's largest and most technologically advanced employee benefits-only agency, has acquired Tennessee's Capital Benefits Group. The 15-year-old firm now operates under the Digital Benefit Advisors (DBA) banner, a division of Digital Insurance, and is the company's first office in Tennessee. President and CEO Harold Roe and his team joined forces with DBA to provide clients expanded offerings and greater resources.

"Bringing Harold and his staff into the DBA fold strengthens our presence across the Southeast," says Mike Sullivan, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Digital Insurance. "Capital Benefits Group is highly respected for its strategic approach to business and the customer service it extends to clients. They have been helping employers effectively manage costs while providing more affordable, attractive benefits packages," adds Sullivan. "Now Digital's communications platform, customer solutions and health care reform expertise will elevate their deliverables."

DBA combines the commitment of experienced, local market advisors with the sophisticated technology and innovative resources of a respected national company. Employers receive access to a broader variety of carriers, dynamic tools, proprietary products and the ability to effectively navigate the complexities of health care reform. One significant advantage includes direct policy holder access to a Customer Advocate Center, where knowledgeable and licensed Digital representatives answer benefits and policy questions, enabling employers to free-up overworked HR departments.

"Digital's proven expertise and 12-year track record attracted us," says Roe. "But, it is the company's superior technologies and extensive depth of resources that we know will provide advantages to our clients and differentiate us from the competition. We want to continue expanding throughout Tennessee, and Digital will enable us to do so."

Founded in 1998, Capital Benefits Group served as the benefits partner of Tennessee Mass Mutual Agency, Capital Financial Group. The company, which has grown to approximately 800 clients and 16 staff members, has become part of Digital Benefit Advisors. Offices will continue to be located throughout Nashville, as well as in Knoxville and Chattanooga.

"Being part of the Digital Benefit Advisors' network and having access to its wealth of resources amplifies our team's ability to better support employers' and policy holders' needs," explains Roe. "Our clients will have more options and tools, allowing them to continue providing their employees affordable coverage while maintaining a competitive advantage that supports recruitment and retention of the best talent."
