In the following video, Motley Fool analyst Brendan Byrnes sits down with Maynard Webb, author of Rebooting Work: Transform How You Work in the Age of Entrepreneurship.

Finding innovative companies to invest in for the new age of entrepreneurship can be as easy as investing in your own backyard. Our free report, "3 American Companies Set to Dominate the World," shows you how. Click here to get your free copy before it's gone.

Brendan Byrnes: So is that the future -- what does work look like over the next decade? Is it more working from home? How does that change overall?

Maynard Webb: I think there'll always be a lot of work in an office place. I think the difference will be in the future that people will be in jobs even less, that you will work for one, maybe many people, at the same time. Right now I work in three different things; I wrote a book, I run an investment network, I serve on boards and the top talent will always have multiple things to do and companies will have had to adjust from this old paternalistic mind-set of "These are my people," to, hey, I've got to be elected everyday for these folks to come in. I've got to make this be the best place for them to be and we're going to help them be the best that they can be whether they're here or somewhere else.
