OAKDALE, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- TDK Life on Record, a leading global brand with a rich audio legacy, today announced that three of its new wireless speaker products have been named International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honorees - the TDK Life on Record Wireless Boombox, the TDK Life on Record Wireless Weatherproof Speaker and the TDK Life on Record Wireless Charging Cube.

The TDK Life on Record Wireless Boombox combines the retro feel of a classic 1980s boombox with the latest wireless audio streaming technology, creating a thoroughly modern version of a cultural icon. The Wireless Boombox is available in the U.S. at Amazon.com and Best Buy (in-stores and online), among other major retailers.

The sleek and compact TDK Life on Record Wireless Weatherproof Speaker features wireless audio streaming and a weatherized design that protects it from the elements including water and dust. Now available in the U.S. online at Amazon.com, this speaker was built to move, no matter what the forecast.

The TDK Life on Record Wireless Charging Cube was developed to provide cable-free charging and high-quality wireless audio streaming and sound. A Qi inductive charging pad is seamlessly incorporated into the speaker's clean, minimalist design that discreetly houses four full-range speakers to deliver superior room-filling sound. The Wireless Charging Cube is expected to launch in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2013.

The three new products all integrate Bluetooth® technology, freeing audiophiles to utilize their mobile devices in any way they choose and still easily play music—no docking required—all without sacrificing audio quality.

"TDK Life on Record takes great pride in developing innovative solutions that combine a top quality sonic experience with sleek and modern design," said Toshi Hokari, executive director, Global Product Management, Audio & Video Information. "We are thrilled to be honored by the CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards for hitting the mark on both engineering and aesthetics."

The TDK Life on Record Wireless Boombox, Wireless Weatherproof Speaker and Wireless Charging Cube will be displayed at the 2013 International CES from January 8-11, 2013 in Las Vegas as a part of the Innovations Showcase (the Venetian Ballroom at the Venetian Hotel) and TDK Life on Record booth (Veronese 2503-5 at the Venetian Hotel).
