Hair stylist Orlando Pita is no stranger to the run way. Over the length of his career he has worked with some of the industry's biggest names and has earned himself a seat amongst the best. At the 2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show we were given the opportunity to sit down with Orlando and discuss the upcoming show, styling trends, and hair maintenance tips. Read on to hear what he had to say!

StyleList (SL): Who are some of your favorite clients from the past?
Orlando Pita (OP):
You know I've worked with a lot of people...I've been in the industry for 29 years so it's been a while and I don't want to say that one person is better than anyone else because that's not the case. If people don't treat me nicely, I don't want to work with them...I don't want to be paid to be treated badly...so [with that] all of the people that I work with are truly lovely.

SL: So for the readers at home, the everyday woman, what is one style tip that you can give them, that they may not really know, that could make a world of difference? Maybe it's just one particular product that they should be using.
That's a very general question because you see there's four of us here and we all have four different hair types...there wouldn't be one thing. But if I could say one thing it would have to be to condition your hair properly and when you shampoo your hair to skip a day because too much shampooing can dry out your hair and you can condition it but it'll make your hair limp. That's really the beginning of having healthy hair. If you can skip a day, it may take your hair a little bit of time to adjust to not shampooing it every day because the scalp excretes a lot of oils. But once your scalp adjusts you can have great one-day-old hair.

SL: What is your least favorite hair style of today? The one that every time you see it you just shake your head.
I must say it would have to be the long extension barrel curls. I think that we need to move away from that a little bit. We're seeing it on all the reality stars and all the moms...and I think maybe it's time to move away from that and have cool hair...maybe something a little bit more disheveled and not as perfect.
