Amazon.com Matches Netflix on Price
Amazon.com (NAS: AMZN) recently rolled out a new pricing choice for its popular Prime service. Instead of paying $80 per year, subscribers can pay $8 per month if they prefer. That actually ends up costing more over the course of a year at $96 annually, but some subscribers may prefer to have that cost spread out. That $8 per month is also the same price as both Netflix (NAS: NFLX) and Hulu Plus, two important competitors to Amazon Instant Video. Amazon's video service may lag, but the e-tailer is making up for it with its shipping and Kindle library services that also get bundled in.
