MAXIMUS CEO Richard A. Montoni Named Executive of the Year

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- MAXIMUS (NYS: MMS) , a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced today that MAXIMUS President and CEO Richard A. Montoni was named Executive of the Year last night at the 10th annual Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards in Washington, D.C. In addition, MAXIMUS was recognized as a finalist for the Contractor of the Year award.

Presented by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, Professional Services Council (PSC) and Washington Technology, the awards recognize "leadership, innovation and commitment to excellence of the people and businesses in the region's government contracting community."

The Executive of the Year award is presented to a government contracting executive in the Washington, D.C. area who is recognized for outstanding contributions to his or her company, the community, and the government contracting industry during the previous year. Mr. Montoni received his award in the category for companies with annual revenue greater than $300 million.

"The MAXIMUS Board of Directors extends warm congratulations to Rich and the entire MAXIMUS team for this award," stated Peter Pond, MAXIMUS Chairman of the Board. "We are very proud of the Company's many successes over the past several years, including the world-class organization that Rich has put together. Under Rich's direction, the team has transformed MAXIMUS into the preeminent government partner focused exclusively on helping clients cost-effectively operate health and human services programs, while delivering outcomes that matter. We are delighted with the growth and shareholder value created under Rich's leadership and, most importantly, we see many future opportunities to support our government clients as they look to balance resources with rising demand and increasing caseloads for their critical health and human services programs."

"It is a distinct honor to be recognized by the GovCon Awards program," said Montoni. "More importantly, it is a privilege to work with the nearly 9,000 MAXIMUS employees worldwide who made this recognition possible. This award was not the result of an individual accomplishment, but instead a reflection of the Company's collective success."
