EPS came in at $1.32. The 11 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $1.25 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.79 for Q3 were 30% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.13 per share. (The prior-year quarter included $0.01 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.)

For the quarter, gross margin was 49.1%, 230 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 19.6%, 340 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 7.0%, 410 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $2.75 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.55.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $10.61 billion. The average EPS estimate is $5.43.
