Southern Copper (NYS: SCCO) reported earnings on Oct. 25. Here are the numbers you need to know.

EPS came in at $0.63. The five earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $0.60 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.26 for Q3 were 67% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.79 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 56.8%, 440 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 49.2%, 590 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 14.0%, 2,400 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.66 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.65.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $6.67 billion. The average EPS estimate is $2.59.
