In case you've been living in the woods for the past three months, or you just don't give a damn, the presidential election proceedings are in full swing. In fact, the final presidential debate airs tonight, Oct. 22, at 9 p.m. EST. Of course, social game makers look to capitalize on the buzz.

There is a slew of social and mobile games that have arrived in time for the political event of the year. With that, here are five games to play between shows of artful question-dodging and non-answers for an hour and a half (click the titles to play):
Campaign Story

Campaign Story

A Facebook game by Five One Nine Games, this simulator puts players into the shoes of a local candidate running for office. Players will be tasked with choosing a bias, a slogan and managing everything else that factors into vying for the coveted seat of power. Clean up the state of politics or rake the competition through the mud--it's your choice.

This fighter gets right down to what we coyly joke about: Who would win in a fight? Available on Games.com via PCs, iOS and Android, Tylted's riff on Punch Out! pits players in a one-on-one bout against incumbent Barack Obama or hopeful Mitt Romney ... as caricatures of themselves, of course. Can you bob, weave and jab your way to beating Barack or mauling Mitt?
For The People

For The People

Rocket Surgeon Entertainment's Facebook release is a politic simulator more grounded in actual politics than the rest. For one, it takes voting records from the state of your choice into account nearly every step of the way. Legislate alongside (simulated) real-life members of Congress, engage in debates and even launch a reelection campaign all in full 3D.
Comedy Central's Indecision Game

And now for something completely different: a trivia game. Cleverly built by 2K Play, this social mobile game pits players' political IQ against the entire player base, throwing questions at them about everything surrounding the political world. Based on which party you choose at the onset, your scores will contribute to a national total that shows just how smart each party is.
VOTE!!! The Game

VOTE!!!

This is the last thing we thought we'd see from the creators of iOS hit Infinity Blade. Taking the same concept from the epic medieval fighting game and applying it to the battle between Obama and Romney, VOTE!!! sees you pick a candidate and swipe away at the other. A fine fit for tonight's debate, no?

Are you psyched for tonight's presidential debate? Which games will you be playing? Sound off in the comments. Add Comment.
