PPG Industries Beats Analyst Estimates on EPS

EPS came in at $2.24. The 19 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $2.19 per share. GAAP EPS of $2.18 for Q3 were 11% higher than the prior-year quarter's $1.96 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 40.5%, 160 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 13.3%, 120 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 8.8%, 70 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $3.63 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.58.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $15.26 billion. The average EPS estimate is $7.94.
