Artesian Resources Raises $25,000 for the Boys & Girls Club of Elkton, Maryland

ELKTON, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Artesian Resources Corporation has announced that it has raised another $25,000 to support the Boys & Girls Club of Elkton. Adding in the amount raised in 2011, Artesian has raised $45,000 in donations supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Elkton.

At the official opening of the new Boys & Girls Club on September 20, 2012, Cecil County officials and community supporters came out to celebrate with Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Mary Jo Jablonski.

"This has been a dream for more than six years," Jablonski said. She thanked Artesian and the many other supporters who donated furniture, appliances, equipment, landscaping and funds.

"Artesian was pleased to once again help the Boys & Girls Club achieve their dream by sponsoring the Second Annual Golf Outing to benefit their organization. The enthusiasm of our employees and corporate sponsors helped make the day a tremendous success for the children of Cecil County," said Dian C. Taylor, Artesian Resources Chair, President and CEO.

The Boys & Girls Club provides area children with after-school care and activities. It offers programs in education and career development, the arts, health and life skills, sports, fitness and leadership. Children can also get help from staff members with their homework. County officials praised the efforts of all sponsors and their commitment to helping the children of Cecil County.
