NTRR Seeks Out Bold New Treatments for Addiction During National Recovery Month

TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- As the nation observes National Recovery Month, Neutra Corp. (OTCBB: NTRR) is hard at work seeking out new medical solutions for addicts desperate to make a change.

Twenty-three years after the first observance of National Recovery Month in the United States, the country's addiction statistics remain grim. According to a 2010 government study, an estimated 22.6 million Americans aged 12 or older—8.9 percent of the population—said they had used illicit drugs in the past month, an 11-percent increase since 2008.

Worse, nearly a quarter of Americans aged 12 or older said they participated in binge drinking, defined as having five or more drinks on the same occasion at least once in the past 30 days prior to the survey. According to the CDC, there were 15,183 alcoholic liver disease deaths in 2009, and 24,518 alcohol-induced deaths, excluding accidents and homicides.

"Anyone whose life has been touched by addiction knows that it is a deadly serious problem affecting millions that can't simply be legislated, talked or prayed away," said NTRR CEO Michael-Shane Henderson. "There is a tremendous market in the U.S. and around the world for innovative, effective new tools to combat this disease, and we're working to position NTRR to capitalize on that demand."

NTRR is exploring new partnering opportunities to help deliver the next generation of addiction treatment options to millions of addicts hoping for a better life. NTRR plans to market a new holistic medical approach to block addiction cravings.
