Yahoo! en Español Announces "Madres De Hoy" for Latina Audience

Original Programming Features New ShowsCasi Perfecta and Café con Tacones

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Yahoo! en Español launched "Madres de Hoy," a new site featuring articles, blogs, videos and other original content for the ultimate Latina mom. "Madres de Hoy" premiered two new video series this week, comedy series Casi Perfecta and Latina talk show Café con Tacones, available at http://es-us.mujer.yahoo.com/madres-de-hoy.

Casi Perfecta is a comedy series starring Sonia, a working mother of two who struggles to balance her modern life with the traditional mold of the perfect housewife. To top things off, her mother-in-law has recently moved in and continually puts her skills as a mother and housewife to the test. Casi Perfecta offers a light and funny perspective on the challenges that many modern Latina moms face daily.

Café con Tacones presents a weekly shot of news, opinion and fun. The show features four distinct personalities who share their unfiltered and unapologetic views. Celebrities and experts will join the Latina coffee klatch to add their perspective on the week's news and the hottest topics of the day.

Hosts Carolina Buia (author of Latin Chic and former national correspondent for Telemundo), Carleth Keys (NY1 Noticias anchor) and Yahoo!'s own Trina Bardusco will discuss everything from current events, parenting, home décor, healthy living and other women's lifestyle topics -- from a Latina woman's point of view. The first few episodes will feature a star-studded guest list including Isolda Peguero, award-winning national correspondent for Telemundo; Denise Bidot, top plus-size model; Latina comedian Sara Contreras; Primer Impacto's Nayeli Chavez; and Flor de Maria Rivera, fashion blogger and contributor to Cosmopolitan for Latinas.

"Madres de Hoy reaffirms Yahoo!'s commitment to providing the most interesting and relevant experiences for our Hispanic audience," said Javier Garcia, general manager of Yahoo!'s U.S. Hispanic business. "We think the combination of a talk show, scripted comedy, and core Yahoo! original content will connect with Latina moms by bringing them the information they want in a new, entertaining and engaging way."

Casi Perfecta and Café con Tacones are the latest additions to several original series produced by Yahoo! for Yahoo! en Español. Other original series include La Banda Ram, an engaging regional Mexican music channel; Cook 'n' Rock, offering innovative recipes and tips for contemporary Latinos; and De Moda, which promotes fashion, beauty and style for Hispanic women.

Already a destination for nearly 22 million Latinos per month, Yahoo! aims to connect users with the information and experiences that are most important to them. Yahoo! en Español provides advertisers with unparalleled opportunity to create unique and compelling campaigns that engage a targeted, multi-cultural audience with scale.
