Frontier Jack's curiosity has once again gotten the best of him in Pioneer Trail, as he finds himself lost in the middle of a deep cavern. Luckily, he left a map of his trail so we can hopefully catch up to him before it's too late. This storyline comes via the new "Save Jack" feature that has launched just this week on our Homesteads. There are new goals to complete, a Mysterious Cave to explore, new crops to grow and much more. You'll need to be at least Level 15 to access this feature, but once you have that minor detail taken care of, you can follow along with our guide to finishing these goals and saving Jack (hopefully) once and for all!

Into the Cave
  • Tend 60 Apple Trees
  • Collect 10 Spelunking Rations
  • Place the Rescue Cart

The Rescue Cart is a small item and it's not a building project, so don't panic there. To finish this goal, you'll need to collect the Spelunking Rations by tending chickens, and will receive 200 XP, a Dinner Meal and five Fiddlehead Ferns for doing so.

This is Bat Country
  • Collect 8 Bat Baits
  • Tend 30 Adult Cows
  • Ask for 10 Bat Traps

The Bat Baits drop when tending grass. You'll earn 400 XP, 400 coins, and a fully grown Pine Tree when you complete this goal.

River Runs Under It
  • Collect 25 River Poles
  • Ask for 15 Hull Reinforcements
  • Craft 5 Spelunking Kayaks

River Poles are earned when tending Orange Trees. Meanwhile, you can craft Spelunking Kayaks using Deer Skins (drops when tending adult Deer) and Kayak Frames (ask friends). You'll receive 600 XP, 600 coins and three Fruit Harvest Boosts when you complete this goal.

Bearville
  • Gather 30 Quill Slippers
  • Ask for 20 Lovely Lullabies
  • Craft 8 Music Boxes

The Quill Slippers are supposed to drop when tending Adult Sheep, but there's currently a bug in the game that makes them only appear when tending these sheep on neighbors' homesteads. Hopefully that will be fixed sooner, rather than later. In the meantime, you can try to complete the Music Boxes, which require Amber Boxes (drop from Oak Trees) and Lilting Chimes (ask friends). Your rewards for finishing this goal are 800 XP, 800 coins and two Prized Animal Crates.

Hold on Stalactite
  • Collect 8 Grappling Hooks
  • Chop Pine Trees 25 Times
  • Craft 4 Climbing Kits

Grappling Hooks drop when tending Goats, while Climbing Kits are created using Climbing Ropes (ask friends) and Pitons (clear Thorns). Your rewards for completing this goal are 400 XP, 400 coins and five grass.

Pitch Black
  • Collect 30 Shin Paddings
  • Ask for 15 Matchbooks
  • Craft 5 Spelunking Lanterns

The Shin Paddings are earned at random when tending Cherry Trees. The Spelunking Lanterns are another craft project, requiring Brass Frames (drop when tending the Brass Forge) and Calcium Carbide (ask friends) to crate. Finishing this goal will reward you with 800 XP, 800 coins and two Summer Mystery Crates. If you've completed all of the goals up until this point, you'll have finished both the north and south paths of Jack's map, and will finally be able to save the man himself in another set of goals.

Big Squeeze
  • Complete the Northern Path
  • Ask for 20 Tight Corsets
  • Craft 7 Rock Chisels

Rewards: 1,000 XP, 2 Miner Cats, 2 Lumber Tree Serums

Dig for It
  • Clear 20 Rocks
  • ASk for 20 Rubble Movin' Gloves
  • Craft 8 Rubble Hammers

Rewards: 1,200 XP, 1,200 coins, 10 Fiddlehead Ferns

To the Rescue
  • Harvest 50 Wheat
  • Collect 10 Safety Helmets (drop from Miner Cats)
  • Craft 8 Big Ol' Drills

Rewards: 2,000 XP, 2,000 coins, Crazier Cake

There's one final goal associated with this event, that can only be finished after you've completed the goals above.

Get to the Bottom
  • Complete the Northern Path
  • Complete the Southern Path
  • Rescue Jack!

Rewards: 5,000 coins, 5,000 XP, 10 Horseshoes
